Have you ever looked back at a period of your life and wondered where it went? Be honest with yourself, were you living with intention during that period? Or were you on autopilot?
We all fade in and out of intention and sometimes let our subconscious do all the work. It is natural. One of the best ways to not look back in regret is by making sure your subconscious is aligned with your conscious intentions.
So I ask you: right now, where in your life do you want to have more intention?
Great you got it…Now rework it into a positive, present tense statement about what you want.
Does your statement include the words “want” or need? Let’s replace that with the word “am.”
Awesome, now you are living in the present. Is the statement believable to you?
Yes? Great! You are ready.
No? Repeat the intention, but this time start with “everyday in every way” or “more and more.”
How about now? Believable? Great! You are acknowledging you are work in progress. We all are!
If it is still not believable...you are doing great! You are giving yourself such great feedback. Go back to the first question and keep going until you find something you are ready for. Revisit that first statement you wrote in future weeks and see if you are ready to tackle it. You can’t build a house without the foundation, and the same rule applies to us :)
You are doing great! Tonight or tomorrow morning say your intention 21 times silently in your mind right before bed at night or before you get up in the morning. Why then? That is when your brain waves are in the Theta state and most receptive to these affirmations. There are several brain wave levels that we move through during the day, and we can learn to achieve theta state on demand by using self-hypnosis techniques. Theta is a meditative state receptive to suggestion and critical for lasting habit change. I teach all my clients how to do this in their first session!
