    About Keri

I am committed to guiding others on their unique path to self-improvement by teaching them to let go of old thought patterns or beliefs that have held them back from achieving their goals. Hypnotherapy uses the theta brain wave state to access your subconscious mind and its innate problem-solving abilities, so you can let go of inner conflicts and live your best life. Hypnotherapy has been a fast forward button for so many of my clients to reach their goals - including myself.

Before my personal introduction to hypnotherapy, I spent the majority of my career helping organizations understand and change their culture by supporting alignment at an organizational level. Due to my own success with hypnotherapy, I have been passionate about sharing this powerful technique with others. After reading Grace Smith first book, Close your Eyes, Get Free, I knew I found the right teacher. I am a member of IACT.

What could you accomplish by aligning your subconscious habits with your conscious goals?

  • FAQs

    What is hypnosis?
Scientifically, hypnosis is a deeply relaxed, highly focused state that produces theta brain waves. It is a guided way to access your resource state, your state of infinite problem-solving abilities. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis, and through a guided hypnotherapy session we can achieve our desired, relaxed state much more quickly and effectively.

    Why should I use hypnosis?
The answer is simple: I have yet to meet a person who didn’t have that one lingering habit that drove them crazy. Hypnosis is hands down the best way to overcome any habits or beliefs that are holding you back from living your best life. As I am sure you know, it is extremely hard to change subconscious beliefs, patterns, thoughts, or emotions with conscious efforts. Of course, it is! At any given time, we are receiving 11 million bits of data per second for processing, yet the conscious mind can only process 50 bits per second (for more information you may want to read Strangers to Ourselves, by Timothy Wilson). Subconscious beliefs are shortcuts for the mind to process that information without necessarily thinking about it. Hypnosis is the most effective way to reach the subconscious easily, effortlessly, and safely.

    What is self-hypnosis?
Self-hypnosis is the process of utilizing relaxation techniques without the assistance of a hypnotherapist. It typically includes deep relaxation, positive affirmations, and imagining of desired outcome.

    Why should I use self-hypnosis?
There are so many wonderful reasons for you to incorporate self-hypnosis and here are some of the best:
    ▪ To relax quickly in public speaking or other nerve-wracking situations
    ▪ To relieve anxiety symptoms
    ▪ To recondition the subconscious with a positive mind-frame and/or action
    ▪ Self-hypnosis is the best way to deepen the work you are doing with your personal hypnotherapist

How many sessions of hypnosis would I need to fix my issue?
This varies from client to client. Hypnosis is effective if a person is open-minded, has a true desire to improve, and is committed to their goal. Hypnosis has a compounding effect. It is best to have sessions in close succession rather than monthly or sporadically. A Survey of Psychotherapy Literature by Alfred A. Barrios, PhD. Revealed the following recovery rates:
    ▪ Psychoanalysis: 38% recovery after 600 sessions
    ▪ Behavior Therapy: 72% recovery after 22 sessions
    ▪ Hypnotherapy: 93% recovery after 6 sessions

Given this research, I encourage folks to commit to having at least 6 sessions by having a package of 6 one-on-one sessions.

Will I have thoughts while in hypnosis?
The answer is yes! While we are primarily working in the 90% of our mind that is the subconscious, our conscious mind will still have thoughts that come and go. That is completely normal and to be expected.

    What is Hypnosis not?
Due to false media portrayals, there are a few misconceptions that we should clear up:
    ▪ Hypnosis is not sleep
    ▪ Hypnosis is not mind control (it only works if you want it to, unless you’re under the age of 7)
    ▪ Hypnotherapy is not entertainment - Its primary and original use was not to make people cluck like chickens in a stage show...
    ▪ Hypnosis is not a permanent state. You cannot get stuck in “trance” – everyday you are coming in and out of theta state naturally (think driving on the highway and all of sudden being home, or being totally absorbed in a movie)

What if I never wake up?
Never going to happen! Hypnosis is not sleep, and you naturally come in and of theta brain wave every 90 minutes to two hours on your own. Hypnosis is a safe, natural state that every single human being floats into and out of all day long. When you daydream, you are in light hypnosis. Since hypnosis is not sleep there is no need to fear “never waking up”. All clients can come out of hypnosis easily and effortlessly by counting up.

What if I say things I wouldn’t want anyone to know?
For anyone over the age of 7, hypnosis only works if you want it to. You are in complete control the entire time. Stage shows are filled with volunteers who raise their hands to be a part of the show. You would never share any information you truly didn’t want to share, since you are in control the entire time.

How do I book a session?
There are two types of sessions:
    1. One-on-one: This is the most powerful option given that the research on hypnotherapy has shown that most issues will receive 93% improvement over 6 sessions.
    2. Group: For those that might want general self-improvement, reinforcment of their one-on-one work, maybe just test the waters, or may not have budget right now for one-on-ones.

The best approach is to book a 15- minute consultation to see what is right for you!
